As part of its strategic supplier relationship with Alstom, BFG delivered interiors parts for 3 cars between 2014 and 2015. This comprised 12 different types of door pillar panels and under seat boxes, which were produced at BFG India using LRTM (Light Resin Transfer Moulding) and hand lamination processes. All parts complied with NF F 16-101 and Grid 3 fire safety standards.

An early design flaw, which placed a very sharp radius at the hatch corners, resulted in cracks in the gel coat along the corners. BFG addressed the issue by proactively producing different trial parts and testing them as per Alstom Transportation’s stringent requirements before dispatching them. Final assembly of the trains took place in France.
